From the city of Oruro
1 Day 0 Night
At 08:00 hours we pick you up from your hotel to begin the journey of 180 km by a dirt road until the population of Orinoca. After more than 4 hours of travel and along several hills we reached the small town of Orinoca with about 2,000 inhabitants and where the main source of economy is the grow of Potatoes, Quinoa a and a few more agricultural products. Also the people here get some income from the livestock of Vicuñas and Llamas. And from the wool of these animals that is sold to make clothes and other products.
Orinaca is about 3500 meters above sea level. In this small town we will visit the house where Evo Morales lived part of his life; this house was built of adobe and thatch roof. A single room was the only place that his family used as kitchen and bedroom. And where Evo´s mother Mrs. Maria Mamani, used to prepared infusion with discarded oranges thrown by passengers of the buses.
Also we will try to visit the school of basic education where Evo Morales attended.
We will visit Isallavi, a community that is where the now president of Bolivia, was born. This is community near Orinoca.
Juan Evo Morales Ayma was burned the 26th of 1959, of Aymara background. His bothers were 7 of who survived only 3 the other four died when they were between 1 and 2 years of age. The family of Evo Morales was humble but they were well aware of the importance of a healthy Earth, in our lives. His parents always pay tribute to the Pachamama (Mother Earth).
After this interesting and full culture visit. We return to the city of Oruro, where we will be arriving in the early hours of the night.
