Amboro park - South Side & Samaipata
From the City of Santa Cruz ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Laguna Volcan & Samaipata 1 Day 0 Night We will pick you up at 8:00 A M to drive you on a highway to Laguna Volcan. All of this highway is asphalted with the exception of some sections under construction.
This place is a small valley giving lead to the formation of a beautiful natural pool. In this place are built the facilities of the Eco Resort Laguna Volcan, with an amazin view to the interior of Amboro park Time Available in Laguna Volcan In 30 minutes. On the way to Samaipata we stop in a place called "Cuevas". Here we can enjoy the natural contour near a stream, which forms waterfalls especially in rainy season. In this place we may stay 40 minutes. Samaipata is a town in a valley at 1600 meters on sea level with 4500 inhabitants. Its has a temperate climate. In this museum you can also see an explantory table which explains the cultures that have passed through the time in El Fuerte. Also in the museum you have the option to see a video about El Fuerte When the weather is cold in Samaipata or Santa cruz is very likely that up here it is much cooler. Upon ending this intereting visit to el Fuerte of Samaipata we return to the city of Santa Cruz at about 18:00 hours. Once in Santa Cruz we take you to your hotel End of our services. Laguna Volcan & Samaipata From the City of Santa Cruz 1th Day We pick you up at 8:00 A M to drive you on a highway to Laguna Volcan. All this route is asphalted with the exception of some sections under construction.

In this place was built the facilities of the Eco Resort Laguna Volcan, with an amazin view to the interio r of the park Amboro After the visitors are accommodated in their rooms. The rest of the morning is to enjoy of the facilities of the hotel and of the sorronding environment. Laguna Volcan has a restaurant with a variety of options a la carte. The prices may vary from Bs 30 to about Bs 100. Also visitors can enjoy a variety of drinks in the bar of the Hotel. The price of a beer of 350 ml can be Bs 15 to Bs 17 At breakfast or lunch, visitors can enjoy watching pleasant the activities or movements of birds in the natuarl pool adjacent to the restaurant that also serves as a lookout with glass walls and panoramic views to the landscape that this place offers. During this walks you can hear the variety of birds singing. But it always depends on the time of day and weather conditions. Overnight in Laguan Volcan 2nd Day After breakfast at 8:00 hours we said goodbye to this beautiful place to go to the highway to continue on to Samaipata, still 2 hours away. After returning to the highway we still have to travel to 2 hours to Samaipata.

Refugio Volcan & Samaipata From the City of Santa Cruz 2 Days 1 Night 1st Day We pick you up at 8:00 A M to drive you on a highway to Refugio Volcan . All this highway is asphalted with the exception of some sections under construction. After about 2 hours and 79 Km we reach the village of Bermejo. From this place we take a dirt road entirely uphill for about 2 km. Until we stop at the entrance of Refugio Volcan at 900 Mts on sea level
When it rain enough this road get more complicated. Even to walk on In the Lodge guests are accommodated in their rooms with private bathrooms and showers. Lunch is scheduled after for a short walk of about one hour A short night walk with torches is possible if the visitors ask to the guide or manager of Refugio Volcan about it. During this night walk there is the possibility to find some armadillo or night monkeys among others things in the forest About the time of the breakfast please coordinate with the persons in charge of Refugio Volcan 2nd Day Breakfast at 7:30 and then we said goodbye to Refugio Volcan. we need to meet the other vehicle that will take us to Samaipata Once in the other vehicle. We head to the main road to continue on to Samaipata, still 2 hours away. On the way to Samaipata we stop in a place called "Cuevas". After about 2 hours and 81 Km we reach the village of Bermejo. From this place we take a dirt road entirely uphill, until we stop where the road ends near the top of the a mountain.
In the company of a guide we will we start the hike around this giant rock. The guide will give us a teoricade explanation of the figures and carving in this enigmatic place and about all the differents cultures that have gone through this place through hundreds or thounsands years

From this point we either hike or drive down on a narrow road which is special for a smaller vehicles This path is almost completely downhill. The vehicle for this path is usually smaller than the one we have used so far
