A Short Description of Refugio Volcan

This resort is located in the INMI (Integrated Management Natural Area) of Amboro National Park South Side.

Laguna Volcan is on  800 meters on sea level

From the city of Santa Cruz by car, it takes 2 hours in a journey of 79 kilometers on a paved highway with some parts of dirt road and  some sections under construction.
The big difference with Refugio Volcan and Laguna Volcan is that the first is surrounded by mountains and is almost at the level of the streams on a small plain.

Refugio Volcan has several trails which are around in  the jungle.

The services offered by this small lodge are basic such as lodging, meals and guide services.

The Prices may be higher here than in Laguna Volcan. This may be due to an issue of management.

The Access to Refugio Volcan is not really easy because we have to change the vehicle 40 minutes before arriving at the Lodge; this is because of the road conditions.

Once in, visitors are accommodated in rooms with private bathrooms and showers.

After lunch a walk is scheduled about a 2 or 3 hours in the woods around the Lodge.
